Instead of writing the same thing again and again which can feel similar in other series, Roberts has changed the plot. Instead of the trials, a hunt for the silver saviour, discovering new lands and harsh conditions.
The book also shares the backstory behind the characters, especially Paeydn's father and the resistance. Paeydn gains new friends and learns even more about Kai. The themes add depth of romance and tension.
Reckless is a great book filled with twists, turns and the biggest ending that will leave you wanting more. Roberts fantastic writing makes it hard to put this book down. This slow-burn romance only gets better.
